A taxi dropped off a family composed of four four people: tall black hair man with his elegant wife in Loro Piana Landford coat and two smiling kids – 6 and 10 years old. The doorman at the restaurant opened taxi doors and escorted them to the table. It was Fucina restaurant – a great Italian family restaurant and a winner of the best UK restaurant design Awards 2017. They went there once in a while to have lunch with kids since they loved the fact that every pasta here was hand made with excellent quality! Moreover, Fucina was about a stylish environment with very authentic Italian dishes. They were keep looking for a real Italian restaurant but finding one that is truly Italian was not that common. Here, the food, the chef, the coffee, the workers – everything was truly Italian.
Family was sitting at a wooden table with a candle on soft sofas in a spacious hall full of plants and a big tree in the middle with huge colored glass windows like you was sitting in an Italian garden somewhere in the south.
All dishes as always delivered the honest flavors of Italian cooking in a warm, welcoming and modern environment: sea bass carpaccio, grilled octopus, truffle Parmesan fries, whole burrata, rigatoni Della Nonna (a must!), Scottish lobster risotto, Parma ham board, Brigham Parm Ravioli…food options were impressive with a special menu for vegetarians.
Before family left, their waitress reminded that Fucina was going to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday 31st March and everybody was welcomed to receive pleasant surprises: children could enjoy their meal for free and all mothers would get a complimentary Bellini with Prosecco, white peach and raspberries…They could not skip such a special day!
Fucina was a perfect place for authentic Italian cuisine with a tasty, simple and friendly environment where you can relax with delicious fresh truly Italian food in a comfortable atmosphere without an extensive pathos.
