Two good friends were sitting at home in Paris and sharing emotions about the trip to London. For Melanie, it was her fifth time there so she was quite experienced and Joanne, who had never been to Great Britain before, was listening to her with a big interest. Having discussed shopping experience and cultural destinations, Melanie started to describe her accommodation.
“I was living at 11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel – a small luxury 5-star boutique hotel located just off Sloane Square and a 10-minute walk from designer boutiques of Knightsbridge. I chose the location for a trip to The Royal Court Theatre plus next day to go to Kings Road, Saatchi Gallery and Harrods which were just around the corner. From my point of view, you would not find a better location in London!
I was living in a spacious bedroom created in Victorian style with a marble bathroom where every detail reflected opulence and sophistication. The lavish decor of this hotel included Plush brocade fabrics, gilt-edged mirrors and Murano glass chandeliers creating glamorous ambiance with a sense of the dramatism in this historic building built by Lord Chelsea in the late 19th.
The hotel provided private dining, gym and a cozy bar which was its calling card because of unbelievable design – there you were like through the looking glass: floor reminded you of a chess board in black and white colors, with Snow White piano, black marble coffee table, and mirrors on the wall and ceiling. A refreshing cocktail in the evening at the hotel bar followed by dinner was the perfect respite from a hectic day in the city! I also noted that the service was fantastic in a completely natural way!
For sure, this hotel is for those who want to make their stay in London special no matter businessman or traveler you are. This is a top hotel with the old standards where the staff is by far the biggest asset. I will be back next time in London!”
